Barcelona Shrimp

This savory dish may be served as an appetizer or as a main meal.


  • ¼ cup extra virgin oil
  • 3 Tsp Fresh minced garlic
  • 1 cup dry cherry wine
  • 1/8 tp red pepper flakes
  • 1 tp smoked paprika
  • 1 pound jumbo shrimp, peeled and de-veined. You can leave the tail on.
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lemon wedges
  • Fresh Chopped cilantro

Cooking Instructions

  1. In a medium skillet, a cast iron skillet works best for me, heat the olive oil on medium heat, add the garlic, red pepper flakes, paprika and sauté for a minute or so.
  2. Now raise the heat and add the shrimp stirring constantly. Do not overcook the shrimp.
  3. In about two to three minutes add the sherry and continue sautéing for a good minute.
  4. Next add the salt and pepper to taste along with the cilantro and lemon wedges.
  5. Now enjoy.
